Eating breakfast boosts your metabolism, which may help keep off extra pounds. In fact, studies show that people who eat breakfast regularly are far less likely to be obese. A good breakfast can also give you the fuel to enjoy the day ahead—whether it’s packed with business, pleasure, or a bit of both. Keep these ideas in mind:

1. Grab-and-go choices. For those days when you hit the snooze button too many times, you’ll need a quick bite. That’s when it’s smart to pack your own dry cereal, granola, or protein bars. Or check at your hotel breakfast bar. Round out your meal with a piece of fruit. Another quick but nutritious option: a local smoothie bar.

2. Belly-filling breakfasts. If you’re worried about being hungry long before lunch, start the day with eggs. Research at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Louisiana found that this protein-rich choice helps you feel fuller longer.
